Our programme teaches the benefits of positive performance management, as well as a structured and fair step by step approach to fixing underperformance. Through learning how to confidently manage ‘difficult conversations’, delegates will have the skills to address issues early, averting the risks of later stage actions. Should a performance dismissal prove necessary, our delegates will learn how to lay down an auditable trail to help defend against future claims.

Overview of the myHRdept Performance Management Training Masterclass
Our team of experienced HR experts will take managers through a deep dive on everything related to performance management, building knowledge on how to deal with conduct and capability issues, how to recognise and assess the differences and when to involve HR in the process.
We will discuss the importance of positive performance management and methods of managing the strongest performing members of a team, motivating and recognising them for their performance and considering how their needs might differ from those of low performers.
We will also discuss the performance review cycle – the key elements that are needed for performance review processes to be effective and why they so often fail to make a difference.
Through practicing several performance management scenarios in a classroom environment and developing managers ability to assess performance; this myHRdept masterclass will help organisations reduce the impact of poor performance, manage the risk of costly tribunal claims and increase people-manager confidence to effectively manage their people.

Our training is based on our learnings from 20+ years of HR outsourcing, and from supporting the managers of hundreds of SMEs, as well as some of the world’s largest companies.
Tutors (across our masterclasses) include practicing HR staff with substantial experience of supporting people-managers, an ex-Coca-Cola HR Director and a fully qualified HR solicitor.
Delivery of Training

Our preferred method of delivery is 1 X in-person half day workshops with 6 – 10 attendees. Workshops include practice of key skills – performance management, difficult conversations.
Workshops take place at our offices in Marlow, or client premises.
Post-Workshop Coaching Support for Training
Attendees will additionally benefit from a post-programme half-hour 121 coaching session from a member of the myHRdept team, helping attendees achieve maximum benefit from the workshop by reinforcing their learning back in the workplace.
