Whistle Blowing (Protected Disclosures) Policy and Procedure

Whistle Blowing (Protected Disclosures) Policy and Procedure

If an employee discovers wrongdoing or malpractice within their company they may, in certain circumstances, take their concerns outside of the company, or Whistleblow, without the fear of being discriminated against or victimised as a result. This policy seeks to reassure employees that an internal complaint of wrongdoing will be properly investigated, and that the company's management is aware that the employee must be protected from harrassment etc. It also makes clear to employees that malicious claims could lead to disciplinary action.

In common with all policies, this policy should be signed by the most senior person responsible for its operation (normally the head of the Company) and all employees should be informed of its contents, with a central copy held on a 'Personnel Policy File' with all of your other policies and procedures. Once you have established this as Company Policy, please ensure you and your employees comply with it.

Other documents you may wish to consider implementing in addition to this policy include
