Technology, Internet and E-Mail Policy and Procedure
With the increasing use of computers and the internet comes the increased possibility of abuse of company time and equipment, and the increased danger of viruses entering company systems with potentially devastating effects. This policy lays out how employees can and cannot use equipment provided to them for work purposes and explains how the employer will monitor correct usage - and what it will do in the event that inappropriate or illegal use is discovered.
In common with all policies, this policy should be signed by the most senior person responsible for its operation (normally the head of the Company) and all employees should be informed of its contents, with a central copy held on a 'Personnel Policy File' with all of your other policies and procedures. Once you have established this as Company Policy, please ensure you and your employees comply with it.
Other documents you may wish to consider implementing in addition to this policy include
Disciplinary, Dismissal and Grievance Policy
