Adoption Policy and Procedure
Qualifying employees who are adopting a child have the right to leave, pay and employment protection. This policy clearly defines employee rights, and both employer and employee obligations.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines how an employer should deal with an employee who is abusing either alcohol or other substances (including prescription drugs).

This policy contains information about how employers should deal with various types of absences from work, be they due to holiday, sickness, injury or unauthorised absence.
Bereavement Leave Policy and Procedure
This policy lays out the paid time off that the company will give to an employee in the event of a bereavement - the actual number of days given being dependant on the relationship between the employee and the deceased.
Disciplinary and Dismissal Policy and Procedure
This policy details how all disciplinary incidences must be dealt with by employers if they wish to ensure their disciplinary and grievance procedures are legally compliant.

Discrimination, Bullying, Harrassment and Victimisation at Work Policy and Procedure
This policy describes the steps that the company will take to ensure that employees, potential employees, ex employees, contractors etc, are not treated unfairly or detrimented in any way by discrimination and harrassment. It is the practical detail behind the company's Equal Opportunities Statement.

The Employee Handbook is designed to give employees as much helpful summary information as is reasonably practicable to assist in their understanding the practical, day to day aspects of working for the Company.
Employee Search Policy and Procedure
This policy explains the circumstances in which an employer may wish to search employees and outlines the procedures that will be followed during and after the search in the event that it reveals any illegal activity/possession.

Equal Opportunities Statement
This is a statement of the companies intent to provide equality of opportunity to all applicants and employees.
Flexible Working Policy and Procedure
This policy explains the circumstances in which an employee has the right to request a flexible working arrangement (ie for the care of a child or an adult in the employee's care). Whilst this is only a right to REQUEST and employers are not obliged to agree, they are legally obliged to follow a specific procedure when considering the request. (This policy has been updated to reflect that with effect from April 2009 parents of a non disabled child up to the age of 16 yrs may apply to work flexibly.)

This policy sets out the company deals with grievances.

If an employee discovers wrongdoing or malpractice within their company they may, in certain circumstances, take their concerns outside of the company - 'Whistleblow' and be legally protected against discrimination or victimisation.
